SleepTalk® for ChildrenBuild your child's self esteem
Is your child anxious, hyperactive, or hard to control?
Is your child experiencing separation anxiety or fears?
Does your child have a general lack of confidence?
Then SleepTalk® might be just what you need!
SleepTalk® is a process that you (the parent or guardian)
deliver to your child/children at night that
builds self esteem, reduces anxiety
and changes behaviour.
It is a non-invasive process
that only takes 2 minutes a night and has life long effects.
What is SleepTalk® for children?
SleepTalk® was developed by Joane Goulding to help her intellectually disabled daughter to talk and establish other positive behaviours over 35 years ago. Joane and her late husband were hypnotherapists and knew the power of working with the subconscious mind, so they developed a process that would work with children. It proved so effective that Joane developed the SleepTalk® process that is now used with children all over the world for a range of issues and is taught to parents by a variety of childhood healthcare professionals.
SleepTalk® is a specific process where the parents are trained to talk to their child while they are asleep to target a specific issue. SleepTalk® is a safe and effective way to conduct hypnotherapy for children as it utilises the same principles and is even better because it’s done by the parents. Parents will be taught the right level of sleep that needs to be accessed and be given specific positive statements to say to their child relating to their issue. Your child does not need to know you are doing this process. SleepTalk® works at the subconscious level, just like hypnosis to create life long change, which builds self-esteem and confidence and reduces unwanted behaviours.
How can SleepTalk® help my child?
SleepTalk® can help a range of issues including:
- Anxiety, fears & separation anxiety
- Behaviour issues
- Sibling rivalry
- Aggression and anger
- Habits (e.g. Bed Wetting, nail Biting)
- Sleeping issues and nightmares
- Confidence issues
- Self Esteem issues
- Eating issues
- Attention issues
- And many many more!
Who can do SleepTalk®?
Any caregiver can deliver the SleepTalk® process. SleepTalk® is 100% safe and cannot be done “wrong”. It is highly recommended that both parents (or main caregivers) deliver the process so that the child hears both of their voices. SleepTalk® is best suited to children aged 0-12 years and it is recommended that all siblings receive the process as well.

Wow! What a gift sleeptalk has been for our family. Our 4 year old daughter was extremely anxious and fearful of a range of things and this process has really helped our whole household be more calm. Our little one seems a lot more confident in social situations and sleeping in her own bed now too. We did Skype sessions with Diana which were great as we did them when our kids were in bed. We are continuing the scripts as we see how much benefit we all get from it. Thank you.Amy, Carlton VIC
We heard about the sleeptalk process through some friends that had done it and wanted to try it for our 5 year old son who was wetting the bed. We really liked that the process was non- invasive. It took some time but after about 4 or 5 months our son now wakes up with a dry bed and he is just a lot happier. Thanks Diana.Pete & Jess, Canberra, ACT
